Favorite Color

My favorite color changes from time to time. When I was a kid, my favorite was red because I looked  prettier when I wore red shirts. During high school, my favorite was green and my classmates said I  was greenminded. When I was in college, my favorite was black. Maybe unconsciously I was emotional that time so I wore black shirts most of the time. But now, my favorite is violet.

When I was young, I did not appreciate violet. It reminded me of a flower scent that I do not like. I do not know which flower. I am not sure. 

But there was a year when the violet was announced as the lucky color. I cannot recall the year but I believed that and so I started using violet things. When I bought umbrella it has to be violet. I also bought violet clothes. One of my officemates called me Barney because of the color of my shirt. I was not offended because I started to love the color as I use it up to now. 

Because of this blogging task for today, I searched in Google the meaning of the color of violet. I was amazed at what I found out. According to a website , the color violet has something to do with imagination and spirituality. That is exactly what is happening to me right now. I am imaginative because I focus my attention to my big dreams. I am spiritual because I decided to make Jesus the center of my life in all aspect. I am in a period of searching for wisdom about life. I pursue balance in all areas of my life which is exactly the same thing being mentioned in the website. It says that violet symbolizes the "union of body and soul creating balance between physical and spiritual energies."

I guess it is just a coincidence but it is nice to know that my favorite color has a meaning that also tells something true about me.
