365 Days of Blogging Challenge (Day 9: My Hometown)

My hometown is Manila. I am fortunate that I was born in this city because all that we need are here. Schools, hospital, churches, malls, bus stations, train stations, parks, libraries, and many to mention infrastructures are available in Manila.

Manila has the finest universities in the country. It has University of the Philippines Manila, Dela Salle University, University of Santo Thomas, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Philippine Normal University, TUP, PUP, and many more. It has many public schools as well for elementary and high school and I am a product of public schools. I feel fortunate that my parents did not have to pay tuition fees for me to get my education from elementary to high school. We are not wealthy so if there is no public school, I might not be educated as I am now.

Hospitals are also available. We have the UP-Philippine General Hospital, Manila Doctors, Ospital ng Maynila, Sta.Ana Hospital, etc. UP-PGH is the best public hospital. But if you can afford a private hospital, I recommend Manila Doctors. For Catholic churches, we have Quiapo church, San Sebastian church, St. Jude church, San Agustin church, Malate church and many more. These churches are historical treasures of Manila. Old churches of the city were built around 1500s when the Spaniards started to spread Catholic faith in the country.

I love Manila. I dream that someday, Manila would be one of the best cities in the world.
