My awkward obsessions are books and journal. Aside from the content, I also love the smell of the pages. I savor the smell of books specially when it is new. When I smell my new books it reminds me of the book section of National Bookstore. I envision of the bookstore's shelves arranged orderly with each shelf jam-packed with books in different colors. I also love the smell of old books as long as it does not have molds. When I smell my old books it reminds me of a library full of old books or the crispy brown ice cream cone (apa in Filipino).
I do not know why but I just feel happy and fulfilled looking at my books. I have not read all of them thoroughly yet. I have just skimmed most of them.
I also love journal or blank notebook because I enjoy taking down notes. I have memory gap so I take down notes as much as possible. I have tried different kinds of journals from small to large and from softbound to hardbound. I have tried plain notebooks but now I prefer a hard-bounded blank notebook.

Those are my current obsessions and I believe they are good ones. Books feed my mind and spirit. Journals help me reflect and evaluate myself.
